Hours of Operation
The philosophy of Faith Academy is based upon the Bible and summarizes the objective of our program. “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6). “Jesus grew in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man” (Luke 2:52). We believe children to be active learners who absorb knowledge at different rates of speed because of their ages and stages. We further find young children to be literal-minded, which limits the concepts they are able to understand. For these reasons, we offer them developmentally appropriate activities. We strive to incorporate into their daily lives the cognitive, emotional, social, physical, and spiritual concepts that they can understand. We believe the environment should allow for uniqueness, creating children who have a positive self-image and confidence, encouraging each child to learn by “doing” when given a variety of resources appropriate for their level of development in a Christian atmosphere.
The Academy staff members are chosen for their love of children, their commitment to the quality care and education of children, their experience and education with children, and their Christian faith. All staff members have criminal background checks through the State as well as the church. Our staff members are required to be fingerprinted, CPR certified, TB tested, as well as take part in mandatory Health and Safety training through the State to work at the Academy. Staff members are required to have at least 10-20 hours of early childhood training each year. The Academy staff is well-equipped to provide your child with excellent care and education.
Our program is a ministry of Faith Community Fellowship. At FCF, we seek to provide an environment where adults and children alike can see the love of Christ lived out in our everyday lives. We do this by “Loving God, Loving People, and Moving Our Faith Forward”. All of our staff members profess the Christian faith. The children of Faith Academy will participate in learning Bible stories, singing religious songs, memorizing verses, and being taught how to pray. Children will participate in a weekly chapel service.
Faith Academy is open January through December, Monday through Friday, from 7:15 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. The hours of operation are divided into 3 groups as follows:
